We assume social responsibility
Anchoring sustainability in all value chains and taking joint responsibility for a better world.
We follow this principle at HERMES Holding as part of the United Nations Global Compact.
United Nations Global Compact
The UN Global Compact calls on companies around the world to align their strategies and activities with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment and corruption prevention. By joining, we have committed to integrating these principles into our daily actions as a company and to significantly promoting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Pharma Deutschland
Since July 2014, Managing Director Jörg Wieczorek has been Chairman of the Board of Pharma Deutschland. Pharma Deutschland is a pharmaceutical industry association with the largest number of members in Germany. It represents the interests of around 400 member companies, which employ around 80,000 people in Germany.
Code of Conduct
Corporate responsibility, adherence to our values and integrity are integral parts of the corporate culture in all areas of the HERMES Group. Our aspiration is to achieve the set corporate goals in a responsible manner, in compliance with all internally and externally applicable rules.
Supply Chain Act
The Due Diligence in Supply Chains Act (also known as the Supply Chain Act, or LkSG for short) is a law designed to strengthen compliance with human rights in global supply chains. As a member of the UN Global Compact and the associated 10 principles and 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to these values.
Whistleblower Protection Act
Adherence to our values and integrity are central to the corporate culture of HERMES Arzneimittel Holding GmbH. It is our aspiration to be socially successful and to meet the needs of our customers while complying with all internal and external rules, guidelines and laws.
Only by working together can we ensure comprehensive compliance and uncover and prevent unlawful behavior, white-collar crime and corruption. Mutual respect and trust define the relationship between our employees and with our business partners.
Energy management system
We attach particular importance to the careful and efficient use of natural resources. Our ISO 50001-certified energy management system successfully helps minimize our environmental footprint.
Planted
In cooperation with Planted, we are planting over 1,200 trees in the HERMES Arzneimittel Holding company forest in Rotter Forst in Rosenheim to compensate our CO₂ footprint and provide new impulses for a climate-stable mixed forest.
Cooperation with Kyocera
Helping people to help themselves – as part of the UN Global Compact initiative, HERMES is already actively supporting some of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals in cooperation with Kyocera, with three projects in Madagascar, Nepal and Kenya.
