The Bundesverband der Arzneimittel-Hersteller e.V. (BAH) and the HERMES Group have shared a common history since 1980. At that time, Johannes Burges, long-standing owner of HERMES Arzneimittel GmbH, was elected Chairman of the BAH. It is thanks to his 25 years of commitment and tireless efforts as Chairman of the BAH (from 1980 to 2005) that the association of pharmaceutical manufacturers in Germany, which today has by far the largest number of members, also has considerable socio-political weight. The association building in Bonn has borne his name since 2005. In 2013, Johannes Burges was appointed Honorary Chairman for his achievements.<\/p>\n

J\u00f6rg Wieczorek, Managing Director of HERMES Arzneimittel Holding GmbH, has held this position since July 2014. At the 67th Annual General Meeting in 2021, J\u00f6rg Wieczorek was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Executive Board for a further two years.<\/p>\n

“I am delighted to be able to successfully continue the work of the Board of Directors with my esteemed colleagues in the familiar team as well as with new faces<\/em>,” commented J\u00f6rg Wieczorek on his re-election. “The BAH Board represents the broad diversity of the pharmaceutical industry. We will continue to place the needs of our member companies at the center of our daily activities in the future, taking social development and technical transformation into account.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The BAH represents the interests of around 400 member companies that employ around 80,000 people in Germany. The member companies make a significant contribution to securing the supply of pharmaceuticals in Germany. With its high level of expertise and professional competence, the BAH is a close contact for politicians, authorities and institutions in the healthcare sector and a strong link between the various interest groups.<\/p>\n

The BAH is also working together with its member companies to further develop the healthcare sector in a sustainable manner. Accordingly, BAH and its members have been making a contribution to climate protection for many years through measures such as the careful use of resources, material savings, emissions reduction, energy efficiency and regionality as well as innovations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
